They should carry cultural sensitivity, interpersonal skills, and political acumen to work well within a diverse team, sometimes on topics that are politically sensitive. They should have adaptability and flexibility to work within an environment that is resource-constrained. They need to have patience and humility to learn novel contexts and accept advice.

Management and Work-Relevant Skills – They should be able to advocate and consult. They can prioritize and delegate work. Ideal candidates should possess good time management. They should have the ability to work without supervision. They should have skills of report writing. They need to have skills in project management.

Note: Your application can be strengthened if you demonstrate your interest in public policy, related work or voluntary experience, and language proficiency (English as an essential language and French as advantageous). You should show strong IT skills as well.

Financial Coverage

As far as the ODI fellowship salary is concerned, it is GBP 21,000 (GBP 23,000 in the 2nd year) net of taxation in addition to accommodation allowance.
