Huawei P50 Pro 5G featuring a 6.6-inches punch-hole display

Huawei P50 Pro 5G is the next flagship phone from the company, which will release next year since today marks the end of this drastic year. It will come as the successor to the Huawei P40 Pro 5G, launched early this year. While there hasn’t been much of the next flagship until now, a new render has just come up on the web unveiling what to expect from the device — thanks to Steve Hemmerstoffer (aka Onleaks).

Huawei P50 Pro 5G — A Flagship With A Single Punch Hole Camera

We say it is a single punch hole because the predecessor came with a dual punch-hole cutout on the full-screen display, to equip two selfie shooters. That might not be the case anymore, according to tipster and the render revealed by him. If we look closely, we can spot a single punch hole cutout aligned in the centre of the screen. This approach has become quite familiar with many popular phones — Samsung Galaxy devices, and the upcoming Galaxy S21 series, for instance.

The tipster further implies that the display measures a bigger 6.61-inches, which is technically slightly more significant than the predecessor (6.58-inches). He also suggests the display encloses in a body that approximately measures 159mm high in thickness, and 73mm in wideness. The display on the upcoming Huawei P50 Pro 5G will also get curved sides, and thin bezels, the tipster, suggests. This could allow users to have a more immersed experience, anyway. Furthermore, the traditional ear speaker grille is back again on the P50 Pro 5G nixing the magnetic speaker, from the predecessor.

Huawei P50 Pro 5G — Release

Going by the history of Huawei P40 series launch. We can expect the Huawei P50 Pro 5G to launch sometime in early next year — likely in March 2021, or could be an early release, which is still unclear at this point.

Unfortunately, the renders from OnLeaks don’t reveal much of the device’s specifications, apart from the render. You can expect more information to be dropped next year since this is only a peek of the next flagship. So, stay tuned.
